Girl Scouts from rising ninth grade Troops 2363, 41103 and 2028, recent graduates from Murchison middle school, traveled to northern Minnesota in June to canoe the Boundary Waters National Forest. Sixteen Girl Scouts and Girl Scout Adults trekked, portaged, camped, and canoed through the Boundary Waters wilderness on a four day journey at the Girl Scouts Northern Lakes Canoe Base.

Some of the highlights included befriending dragonflies, seeing wildlife (including a moose!), portaging a canoe for close to a mile, staying safe during a lightning storm while camping, and learning to steer a canoe.

It was fun and everyone learned more about themselves, teamwork, and how resilient they were while they experienced this incredible adventure.
