We had a fantastic ending to the year in the Bluebonnet Circle Service Unit! Read below to see how our Girl Scouts learned about WAGGGS, went camping, raced wooden cars, enjoyed an outdoor tea party and observed the nighttime sky! We also congratulated members bridging to new levels, celebrated Girl Scouts who earned Higher Awards and recognized our wonderful volunteers!
100 years of World Thinking Day!
Girl Scouts from various Troops selected a current WAGGGS country and taught others about the country's traditions. They made SWAPS and shared food items with the Daisy, Brownie and Junior Girl Scouts who attended. Thanks to Troop 41225 for hosting this great event!
Starry Nights
Girl Scouts of all ages attended this Service Unit event at the Reimers Observatory at Milton Reimers Ranch Park in SW Travis County. The moon was bright and full, telescopes were focused on planets, we saw the International Space Station and did a solar system walk to understand the scale of the distance between planets. Looking forward to Starry Nights 2027!
Teddy Bear Tea
Thanks to Troop 41103 for a fairy-tastic Teddybear Tea at the park. All the Daisy Girl Scouts in attendance enjoyed the crafts, treats and fun!
Trefoil Derby
Big shout out to our adult volunteers for organizing a great Trefoil Derby. We were so impressed by all of the contestants hard work and effort on building their cars! Congratulations to everyone that participated and we are excitedly looking forward to next year's Derby!
First Time Campers
Troop 41109 did an incredible job educating first-time campers all about camp, including crafts about nature, the rules of a fire circle and more. The girls had a blast! Some stayed overnight in the Camp Texlake Cabins while others chose to make it a day trip. A big shoutout to Ms. Elaine, Troop 45 leader and a Girl Scout member for 35 years for all her help with this event!
Tent Camping @ McKinney Roughs
While the younger Girl Scouts had a blast at Camp Texlake, the older girls enjoyed tent camping at McKinney Roughs. They set up their tents, hiked, completed a scavenger hunt, made meals over the campfire, cooked dinner for everyone in the dinning hall and participated in the Jr. Ranger program.

At our annual Volunteer Appreciation Banquet, we celebrated many outstanding troop leaders, parent volunteers and service unit volunteers for giving so much to make the Girl Scouting experience awesome for all our Girl Scouts!
