Your troop may not be having regular meetings over the summer, but there are still great activities to join in, for Girl Scouts young and old. Some of these are fun and educational opportunities supporting Silver and Gold Projects, while others support adult learning and recharging.
June 12
Come enjoy a beginner-friendly sewing project and a brief lesson on the importance of Sustainability in support of a Girl Scout gold award project! Thursday, June 12 4:30-6pm. $10. Details here:
June 21
The Travis County Parks Foundation has launched a Night Sky Explorer Patch Program for ages 9-12. Check out the details here. And stay tuned for an observatory event being planned by a service unit troop for this fall!
July 12
Looking for new ideas for your troop or the service unit? Sign up for the GSCTX Volunteer Enrichment Conference in Waco. Email bluebonnetcirclegs@gmail.com if you're interested in carpooling! Registration deadline is June 27.
July 18
This paper marbling and book binding session will be led by one of our very own troop leaders and service unit team members. Register before all the spots are gone!
