Adult Volunteer Awards
Adult Volunteer Awards

May was a busy month of end-of-year activities as Girl Scouts bridged, were recognized for Higher Awards projects and thanked their adult volunteers. Read on for highlights.

Honoring our volunteers, recognizing our girls, planning for our future.

The service unit held the annual planning meeting in April. To sign up to lead one of the traditional events listed here, visit this sheet and add your name and troop's number ASAP or your preferred event might get picked up by another troop or not happen in 2025-26. Please try not to schedule over other events looking to draw girls of the same level. Feel free to add additional events that are open to the service unit. Mentors are available to share an overview of the event and their tips and tricks for putting it on. Reach out with questions to bluebonnetcirclegs@gmail.com.

In May, the Bluebonnet Circle Service Unit hosted volunteers to reflect on the accomplishments of Girl Scouts (girls and adults) in our service unit. Flip through the slides below to see the 2024-25 volume of Fall Product and Cookies, top sellers and key volunteers. Whether you attended an event, hosted an event or helped make things happen (cookies, fall product, treasurer, leaders) a HUGE thanks to everyone who helped make the year a big success.

Journey's End Bridging

We had a full house as girls bridged all levels, from Daisies through to Adult Girl Scouts!!!! Huge thanks to Troop 40 who organized the afternoon. They included table-top activities, snacks, a smooth run-of-show, power point with slides for each troop bridging, a graduating Girl Scout speaker and recognition for all higher award recipients. Enjoy the bridging ceremony through the slides below.

Teddy Bear Tea

Daisies had a fantastic time with the Cadettes in Troop 1201 who threw them and their teddies a tea party to round out the year.

Changes Coming

The Forum function on Wix (the platform on which we built this website) is being discontinued. Also, Rallyhood (the previous platform used for service unit communication) is discontinuing their free option. We will maintain this website for information, event registration and the newsletter/blog. And, we are moving to BAND.US for communicating event details, supporting each other answering questions and spreading the word about important deadlines, changes and opportunities for Girl Scouts in the Bluebonnet Circle Service Unit.
