The Greatest Show of 2024

Whether you used your free Girl Scout solar eclipse viewers or some other set, eclipse viewers had quite an experience. Don't let your leftover viewers become trash or litter, donate them at Warby Parker stores and they will be shipped to Astronomers Without Boarders. Read this KUT story for more info.

SU Trefoil Derby Is Back!

Thanks to Troop 41114 for relaunching the service unit pinewood derby. There was a small but mighty group of scouts who prepared their cars and raced this month. Mark your To Do list for the 2025 Derby!

In Our Girl Scout Era

Do you have a troop of Swifties? Troop 41395 has a bunch. So we made Taylor Swift the theme for our Junior aMuse Journey in a Day; perfect to talk about roles people play in life, the stereotypes we face and how to be a role model for ourselves and others.

Interspersed with singing, dancing, edible friendship bracelets (candy on donuts), handmade microphones, and bespoke Junior Jewels t-shirts, girls created skits to show how stereotypes often miss the mark, committed to try on new roles throughout their lives and do their part to combat stereotypes.

See You Soon

We hope to see you at the Service Unit Appreciation Event on May 9th!

We want to highlight projects that achieve gold, silver or bronze awards! Please send descriptions to sandy.hentges@gmail.com for the next newsletter.

Also, send descriptions and pictures of your troop activities and events you host for the SU to sandy.hentges@gmail.com to be included in the next newsletter.
